The most recent edition of the ERAI INSIGHT newsletter features a How-to-Spot-a-Counterfeit column about heated solvent testing (HST) submitted by Advanced Component Testing. ERAI is a well-recognized leader in counterfeit risk mitigation and ACT is proud to have been allowed to contribute to their Q2 publication. ACT’s Director of Operations and resident expert on authenticity inspection, Mike Zambito, detailed his experience performing HST on one particular FPGA to provide detailed insight into the test methods and considerations. ACT released a new version of this website on May 28, 2017. Advanced Component Testing will be attending the SMTA’s Symposium on Counterfeit Electronic Parts and Materials at the College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Maryland between June 28 and June 30, 2016. The symposium will focus on developments in the electronic parts supply chain, parts selection and management through the entire life cycle, and solutions currently in development.
